We went and got our Easter pictures done today. I like that Elisabeth was born in June, so her 6 mo. pics were Christmas-ey, and 9 mo can be Easter- and june is summer time!!
We've had to put E on some medication because of some intestinal issues and she has been a disaster since Tuesday. We've gone through a lot of clothes, and she hasn't been feeling well. Despite that though, I'm quite pleased with how the pictures turned out.
I wish I could have bought them all, but they don't let you do multiple pictures on the same sheet. So I had to stick to ones I really liked. Here's some of them :)
Oh Chocolate? I like chocolate!
I like it A LOT!!!!!
MAAAAMMM Why'd you take my candy away!!!!! (this is my favorite!!)
My fav. family pic- it is too big for my scanner so it go cropped a bit, but it still looks good
twinkle toes
Apparently if you suck on your lips, you don't drool. hahaha
This one wasn't planned, we were just trying to get her to smile- absolutely adorable though
I sure love my itty bitty family :)

9 Things I've Learned
1. I've learned that stale ends of French bread are better than any toy...
2. I've learned that said bread is great to get mushy and paint with...
3. I've learned that white cabinets look much better with said paint...
4. I've learned it's OK to go to the store with teething biscuit love all over your shirt, as long as your face is clean (haha)
5. I've learned that no matter how many times Ells falls backward like a plank of wood, she's always willing to get back up and try again (sorry Shel, the goose egg is gone :( )
6.I've learned that 9 month olds can say 'Hi, Dad' at the correct time and to the right person.
7. I've learned that after sitting in the sun, my legs are nasty pale and I'm OK with that
8. I've learned that Ells can scoot, but she hasn't realized the power behind it yet- and that, too, I am OK with :)
9. I've learned that unless I'm home for a longer stretch of time, nothing gets clean- my week off is to spend time with my little girl, not to clean the house, and this couldn't make me happier.

This was the best $15 ever spent- she even tried to smack Drew when he took it away. hahahahaha

haha
I got this from my friend, A on her blog- very funny!

Funny this is, is that I haven't had more caffeine than what's in chocolate since before August 2008 (and maybe longer, that's just my point of reference that I KNOW!).... how you like them apples?

Meet Miss 9 Months Old!
Happy 9-month-iversary! (OK, Drew said I can't call them --iversaries since it only happens once, not yearly, but I say PoohPooh to that!)
Things we can do now that we're "big" :
Tell Daddy how to play his games...
Show everyone TWO teeth instead of 1...
Find my belly button at record speeds...
Let mommy humiliate me in the backyard to make sure everything is a "Go" for Easter...
And lastly, scoot in the hallway after I decided this is where I wanted to sit down...
Mmmhmmm, Very grown up!
(and for comparisons sake, here 8 months)
(she's the same height, and has gained ~1.25lbs)- 28.5", ~23.5lbs (it varied depending on if she was alone, with Drew, or with me, so it was a bit of a guess, so we averaged it!) (96% weight, 74% height---which I have a hard time believing cause I feel she is TALL!, 95% for head circumference)---I did a little tweaking and apparently 97% is the highest is goes. hahaha (at least the one I was using)
(8 months w/Blaire)

some fun pics
We played at the capital today- sad part was that my camera died after about 5 minutes. I used my phone for some of the pics, but I think we might take another trip tomorrow cause I wanted more pictures!
On these, I just played with some photoshop stuff- I don't think I'll do it often, but it's definitely fun for a change.
and one last one of the cutie brushing her teeth

Delight
Drew hates the word delight - I tend to agree with him- Turkish delight, afternoon delight, it's all creepy and weird. Afternoon Delight reminds me of Arrested Development however, and THAT is a good thing. :)
Yesterday, our babysitter's hubby got in a car accident- he's ok, but needed to go into the hospital to get checked (early enough that the doctors weren't open and his boss said he HAD to go in since it was on the job..drives semi's)- anyway, I couldn't take E to the sitters, so she hung out with me yesterday. She chilled with the Title 1 ladies while I had a conference, and Drew was able to come home for my IEP meeting later in the afternoon. I also ended up having a family stay for almost 1 1/2 hours to "chat" about their child, which really ended up chatting about everything and anything. Drew asked what we talked about and I could only remember about 1/4 of it. I was exhausted. 8:30pm is too late to be at work!
I'm going to drop E off at the sitters on Monday and Drew and I are going to have a day date of tasty breakfast and Alice in Wonderland (assuming all is well with our babysitter's husband by then).
So, since today is Friday, conferences are done, my white board is full of new reading group arrangements, that means my Spring Break has officially started. I'm excited to sleep in, clean my house, and get extremely exhausted keeping a 9 month old from getting bored! We even went for a walk today- although short- but I wore my child, so I got tired fast!
That's one of her bath toys that sticks to the side of the tub when wet- it's nice to know it sticks to heads, too. That pacifier is from Rissy- it's a raver paci. LOL
We insist on naked girls while eating bananas
Hai!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
If you look VERY closely, you can see not 1, but 2 teeth! (at least I can when fully zoomed on my cpu!)
Miss Spazmatic!

Sunday Night
I don't like daylight saving time. Just when you get used to something they go and mess it up. I'm moving to Arizona. (esp. with small children, things just don't go smoothly)
Until then, here's some pictures :)
Every time I tried to open her mouth up to get a shot of the *new* tooth, this is what happened. Sorry guys - we'll get it eventually!
She had been sitting over where her feet are -she was determined to play on the computer-too bad nothing else is motivating. hahaha
This is for you Shel - I found all the stripes I had!
Pretty dress day!
(I should have put her bow on the other side! haha)
-This is her Easter dress- I wanted to make sure it fit so we could go get pictures next week
Playing in the 3 pitiful flowers on the side of our house - if I had remembered there weren't any flowers, I would have planted some this past fall! Maybe this year...
Oh! My friend R, had her baby! He weighed 9lbs 7oz - 21" long - a pound and 1 ounce more than E. He was a cutie though!
Ripping grass out of the ground is apparently VERY fun!

OKGo
Many, many years ago, Drew and I went to a TMBG concert at Kingsbury Hall and an unknown band was opening for them called OKGo. To our surprise, they were way better than They Might Be Giants (at least I think so, Drew says otherwise)...anyway...I really enjoyed them and found as much of their music online as I could. They haven't put out many albums and a lot of their really good stuff can't even be found now since it never made it to cds. They've put out a new music video that I thought I'd share with you cause it's so stinkin clever. Their choreography is always so original and entertaining. It's nice to watch a music video for entertainment purposes rather than how scantily dressed the women are.
Thank you OKGO for your awesomeness!

Happy Birthday to ME!
I got some pretty flowers from my honey while at work on Thursday- Thank you!!! (don't look at the mess- it's an issue :))
We got to go to Gleneden for the weekend and here are my pretty pictures from it!
Sunset on Saturday
Siletz Bay on our way home on Sunday
I just thought this was cute- we were heading down to the sand for sunset- our room was to the right- it was nice we were on the main floor for beach access, but a bummer cause we couldn't see the ocean full on.
E playing while we waited
The waves were HUGE. These pictures just don't do it justice
Saturday morning
Playing in the pool. Pool=84*++outside temp=65* = freezing cold when you are out of the water. Fun though :) Elisabeth LOVED it
Nap- check! Swimsuit-check! Happy baby-check!
What a great way to spend my birthday. Next year, I can't decide if we should try out Depoe Bay, or stay at Gleneden again...and either choice, if we should go just for my birthday weekend, or all of Spring Break??

Just had to!
The last couple of days, Drew has been volunteering and Willamette as a judge for their little pretend trials they do, so I've been chilling at home with Elliecakes. Weird thing though, she's decided she can't last past 630pm, so that's when she heads to bed...and minus the 1-2 feedings through the night, I'm having to wake her up at 7 to go to school! As much as I love her to sleep as much as she needs, there's also selfish me that misses her!
I uploaded all the pics from my camera onto the computer tonight and went through to fix a bunch of red eye and had remembered some fun videos. I uploaded those, but I had these pics on as well, and just had to share them :)
We're testing out the St. Patties day stuff early!
I was pulling her baby food out of the ice cube trays when she grabbed one. I took it away and she screamed. So, naturally, I gave it back and watched her. When she had eaten about 1/2 of it, she shoved the whole thing into her mouth. I had to physically remove it from her mouth so she wouldn't choke. This sent her into a tizzy of anger. I had then remembered that some kind souls had bought us some teething baggy things where you can put random stuff in them so the kids don't choke. I stuffed the rest of her yam cube back into the bag and she went to town. She ended up eating 2 yams and a potatoes+who knows what cube as well through that thing. AND everything came out clean in the washer! Hallelujah! -it also took an hour. HAHAHA
She would NOT look at me.
oh happy dancing day!
