I can taste it!

The weekend is so close, I can almost taste it! This week has moved as slow, if not slower than tar. - frozen tar. Tar under a sheet of ice, in the arctic tundra.

I also forgot marshmallows at the store for my fruit salad for tomorrow's pot luck. There's no way I'm going back to that store til way late. I can't handle seeing so many people I know.

Where does the time go?!

I have probably been on the internet 1/100th of the time I usually spend on here, yet I don't remember doing anything else. I have no time for anything lately. It's driving me insane! I did clean the house for an hour tonight though. I stopped when I realized I needed to wash the floors. I'll do it tomorrow. :)

So my show and tell items today---let's see what I've uploaded...

Oh yes.. The mango. These, my friends, are the mangos of Mexico. Too bad they weren't as sweet as the Mexican ones. I think maybe we have to ripen them almost to the point of bad before they're sweet maybe? Anyway, we found them at Costco, and I squealed a little bit, cause unfortunately, those mangos were pretty much the only thing I cared to eat every single morning down there. (I'm really reaching here for something positive about that experience. :) )

While I was taking pictures, I took a picture of my favoritestest cereal lately. CAP'N CRUNCH! I tried eating the malt o meal version and that stuff just stinks compared to the original stuff. Man, even looking at that picture, I wish I wasn't full, cause I would totally nom some up right now! LOVE THOSE GUYS!

OK, off to pay bills. :)

Show and Tell

I decided a few days ago that a blog is like show and tell. You post something, talk about why you like it, and then expect people to ask you questions, or comment on your topic of choice. Grown up show and tell = blogs. :)

So here is my show and tell item for the day:

The blanket that took 5 months. It's not as large as I wanted it to be, but it's decently long, so it'll do it's job. It doesn't look all that intricate, but the yarn was so small that it took forever. Anyway, I'm done, and don't want to do it again. That's why I picked up some purple yarn to knit an every day blanket! Go me! haha

I also broke my St. Patrick's Day door hanger as I was hanging it up today. My fumble thumbs didn't quite get it on the hook, it fell and broke. I am DEVASTATED! I don't know where I'm going to find one that I love so much. OK, that is all for now. :)

S33dS!

I bought SEEDS! This weekend, I'm going to go grab some soil and start doing some forcing so the plants will be ready for outside in the next couple of months. I am way more excited than I ever have before. I think passing up those tomato plants last year for the Mexico experience made me want to garden really bad. ...or maybe it's my form of nesting? Who knows, who cares, but all I know, is that I'm going to have some delicious watermelon, corn, cucumbers and tomatoes in my little garden this year!

P.S. Just finished watching Lost - you'd think since we have cable (therefore a somewhat working tv)- we'd actually watch it when it comes on, but online, there aren't any commercials, so we still watch it the day after. :) Anyway, I love that show. It drives me CRAZY!

I also started another blanket. Maybe I'll be able to finish this one sooner than I did with the naming blanket. hahaha!

Beauty Products Meme

I did this over on my LJ account, and thought I'd randomize my blarg here just a little bit.

Top 10 Beauty Products Meme:

These are the things I use weekly, but most are daily products

1. Aveeno Lotion - I love this stuff. If it wasn't for this stuff, my skin would cripple and die. It is my life blood

2. Aveeno Body Wash - Same with the lotion. My skin is so sensitive that if I didn't have this stuff, I would die.

3. Bath and Body Works Lotion - I may not be able to use this stuff all over, but I use some on my arms and hands almost daily, and I absolutely love all the wonderful, luxurious smells! Sea Island Cotton happens to be my current favorite.

4. Mary Kay Mascara - I'm sure there's other mascara's that I could use, but I am quite happy with this one. It does it's job, and I can get it for cheap, cheap, cheap!

5. Mary Kay Intense Moisturizing Cream - This stuff is fabulous for those pesky dry spots on my face. They don't happen super often (except lately), and this is so great at getting rid of them within a couple of days.

6. Satin Lips Lip Balm - I love this stuff too. I have it in my purse and seem to have Napoleon Dynamite syndrome of my hips hurting real bad at least once a day. This stuff quenches the thirst and makes my lips feel oh so soft!

7. Timewise Targeted-Action Eye Revitalizer - I seem to be genetically pre-disposed to have nasty dark circles under my eyes. Even if I sleep enough, the older I get, the worse they get. Since I seem to be anti foundation wearing, this stuff seems to help camouflage the fact that my under eyes aren't the best. Too bad this stuff is ridiculously expensive for what I like to pay for my products.

8. Joico hair products- It doesn't matter what it is. If it says Joico, my hair LOVES it. This stuff is specifically made for african-american hair, but it sure loves my hair, too! I don't get to buy it as often as I like, but when I do get it, it's a happy day!

9. Suave Healthy Curls - When the Joico is low, surprisingly, this stuff works wonders! I always Love, Love what my hair does with this stuff in it. And it's so cheap!

10. Betamethasone - Since I have such sensitive skin, I can almost guarantee there's some bout of eczema on some ankle or finger. If it wasn't for this stuff, I would die a cruel, painful death of scratching myself to death. This stuff is heaven sent. I wouldn't go a day without it!

My lovies

Our dryer kicked the bucket 2 weeks ago, and we finally got our new washer and dryer on Thursday. Hooray!!!! I am totally in love with them. They are giant, and clean, and bright, and they match everything else in the house! Too bad I didn't get time to paint the laundry closet before they came in. I'm sure I could get Drew to move them out when I'm ready to do that though. What do you think of purple?! --and yeah, they need doors. We have them- those are also hanging out, waiting for a nice painting before installing.

This is also a couple weeks late. Our little screamer was squirming all around a couple weeks ago, and she's gotten quite fierce the last couple of days. She's also putting up one of her arms to hide herself so it makes her look like she's got all random lips and noses. Good news though- she's fat, fat, fat and seems to be growing just the way she should! That's all that matters to me. :)

It's the weeekend!

Hooray for weekends. I sure love them so very much. I am so excited to sleep in and sit in bed for as long as I want to.

Some of you may know that our dryer broke this week, so we needed to buy a new one. We also decided to buy some decent ones since they are going to need to last a while- can we say "Thank you tax return!" - so on Tuesday, they should show up here. Since the dryer is broken, that means that I don't have to do laundry this weekend- hot diggity!- and with a new dryer comes a new washing machine, too! huzzah!

I think we may have also narrowed down itty bitty girlie names for screamer. No definites yet though.

Alright, now to go catch up on Lost. I actually watched Gray's Anatomy on a tv for the first time in over a year yesterday- so weird! Then I think I have a BSG to watch? I'll have to go check.
