I don't have anything to post

So here's the rundown of my life:
- I gain weight VERY well
- My stomach is expanding
- I'm back at work after a very wonderfully sleep-induced spring break
- Looks like my job prospects for fall are completely shot. I'm OK with it, BUT I don't like being told I CANT do something, so in that respect, I'm completely ticked.
- I only have 12 more weeks of lugging around ballerina toes
- I can eat sushi in 12 weeks
- I can drink caffeinated beverages in 12 weeks!
- I can run til my heart stops beating in a little more than 12 weeks....ok, more like16 to be more realistic?

Otherwise, everything else is pretty monotonous. That's a good thing, right? So I guess it's time for a survey

Stupid Paint

I'm pretty frustrated. I had pre-painted all of our trim so that when we put it up and nailed it in, I could just go around and do touch up on it. For some reason, Valspar has become the devil. I don't know how, but the color I used on the trim is NOT the same color I used on the trim a year ago. It's the exact same paint brand, exact same color (supposedly), but the new stuff I put on it brighter, so every single black dot that was once a nail, is now a brighter white smudge.

Not only do I HATE painting moulding, I absolutely LOATH having to paint baseboards while they are attached to walls. Especially when I have to be careful about the floors.

So today, AFTER I realized that the paint was not cooperating properly, I went through the house and vacuumed all the trim so that tomorrow, I can go through the *entire* house and repaint the junk. I am so torqued. I'd do it right now, but after bending over for the last 4 hours, I can't get myself to continue with these nasty sharp pains running up and down my back. It isn't worth it. I'm even going to make Drew move all the furniture back cause I just don't have it in me. Besides, I'll have to move it all out again tomorrow.

So much for making my house look pretty. :-\

On another note, the reason I had the paint out in the first place was because I needed to paint our closet doors. They are now painted and THEY look spectacular. Too bad that was the only thing that went well over the last 4 hours. Bummer...

Happy SPRING TIME!!!

WOwee! I am uber excited about the weather getting a wee bit warmer and warmer by the day! :) Hopefully there won't be a ton of rain either? (I think that's high hopes, but whatever.) So yesterday, to kick off the day, I was super productive.

I did some work shenangans, but then I was able to clean the entire house, top to bottom. I haven't done that in quite a while. I'm always amazed to see how much dirt is on the floors. It made me thankful to not have carpet.

I then ironed a billion of Drew's shirts for work/church. I'm excited when he has a real job so he can take them back to the dry cleaners. Ironing is for suckers.

We went to the gym. I may have over done it a little bit with my leg, but that just means I'll take it a little easier today. The bikes are my love though! I think my max time is about 20 minutes before I can barely stand it though. Yesterday I went 35 minutes and that was just too much. Guess I better opt for shorter routes and finish cardio on something else. Bummer.

So today, I slept in like nobodies business! We're going to head to the gym in a little bit, and then I have been contemplating getting the dirt ready outside for some planting soon. I need to see when the last frost usually is, because I have some corn that is BEGGING to be put outside. I'm pretty excited about that stuff.

I had a pretty scary thought a couple of days ago. If some some reason sweet little girl wanted to pop into this world early, chances are, she'd have a pretty good time with it. Yeah, she's be in NICU, but she'd survive. AND assuming all goes well until the end, we're going to have a baby in 3 months. SCARY!!! Even just thinking about that freaks me out a bit! I don't feel ready yet! Funny thing about that, too, is that I measure everything in Mexico's* now. So little girl could come in about 1.5 Mexico's - which SEEMS like forever, but really, it isn't very long at all! EEP!

*We were in Mexico for 8 very long, very painful weeks. So anything that I do is measured in 8 week intervals- it puts things in perspective. :D

St. Patty's Day Food

I know I'm a few days ahead of schedule on the St. Patrick's Day festivities, BUT Drew has class late that night, so I thought today would be perfect instead! What did we eat? Well, I'll tells you!

Breakfast, we had oatmeal. Not just any oatmeal my dear friends- this stuff took me a while. We used steel cut oats and had to soak those suckers over night. I actually just found a great recipe to throw it in a crock pot over night=brilliant! Anyway, that stuff was delicious! We dumped some raisins and brown sugar in it, and it was divine. I can't believe how much I love oatmeal some days. I forgot to take a picture of it- sorry!

Lunch - I was so full from breakfast that I skipped the lunch festivities and just had a snack when we got home from church while we waited for dinner to be done.

Dinner - Irish Stew (I have to admit that I substituted beef for lamb- I just can't get myself to eat sheepies), and Irish soda bread. It was SO GOOD! I was amazed.

Here's how they turned out:

There was a ton of steam coming off the stew, so it looks fuzzier than it really is.

This was our fun soda bread- it is REALLY good with Honey! :)

I also took a picture of my seedlings that are growing so fast. The watermelon is being a slow poke though. What gives?

(each 2 columns is 1 type of plant) So starting out, is corn on the right, followed by my red tomatoes, then yellow tomatoes, then cucumbers, then watermelon on the far left. I'm pretty excited about them! :D

Farmer Maddy!

Meet me, Farmer Maddy. Last year, I wasn't able to grow any stuff because it'd all die in the middle of June when the infamous Mexico trip occurred. So all last year + this year, I had been planning on doing tomatoes in big pots again this year outside. Well, not only am I going to do THAT, but since no one uses the side area of our little duplex, I'm going to take it upon myself to do something with the dirt area. I have started some seed starters that should be ready to be planted as soon as it warms up enough to transplant outside. Here's what I'm going to have:

I am *so* excited! :) So much so, that maybe I might share with you? :) My only concern is when that sweet little baby pops out, I'm going to need Drew to water them for me. I hope he's up to the task! It's only a few days, right?!

That's my excited face! Just ignore Drew. hahaha

ouch!

Drew and I signed up for the gym on Monday in hopes of keeping a happy family. The treadmill thing wasn't working out with me because of my ITBS, and Drew hates it, so we finally caved and went to the gym. I cannot believe how much I have missed that place since living in Utah. I cringe at the prices since they are substantially higher than that in Utah, but whatever. Totally worth it. I found out today, I am a lamer at biking. These bikes are so cool. I may have to use them every single day until I get so sick of them, I hate them...which may take a while.

They have this cool thing where you can race other people and you get to pretend you're on the course and all that. It's no spinning class, but seriously, I think this may be way cooler. The downside? Yeah, my bum starts hurting pretty bad. Especially after 40 mins. - I am disappointed at my slow poke skills, but unfortunately, this biking for 2 is hard work.

Speaking of work, the outlook doesn't look so kind for my current position. I think it'll take a spectacular miracle to save my job.

I should know by next week, but I can take the hints. Stupid layoffs and budget cuts. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed, ask for prayers, and hope for the best. At least on the bright side, I should have insurance to finish out the pregnancy, and until Drew gets hired. I should also be able to collect some unemployment monies, and then I'd have an excuse to stay home? hahaha Too bad my motivation to move is higher than my desire to stay home. I think I'll sub through this next year if I do get the boot, and feel things out for the following year when baby girl is a year old.

Last, but not least, our sweet Lexy went to live with Grandma, Grandpa, Tomba, Picabo, and Keeley up in heaven on Monday. I love her very much, and miss her more than I ever expected. I'm glad I have such great friends and family that have lifted me up in my time of need. I love you guys more than you will ever know! <3

Birthdays!

I had a fabulous week! Let me tells you about it.

Monday and Tuesday were regular days, but on Wednesday, that was when the fun started! I left work early to head to lunch with Drew, and then dropped him off at school while I went and got my teeth cleaned. - I know some people hate the dentist, but I absolutely love my dentist and love having my teeth cleaned- it's one of those times when I get non-stop compliments about what a great job I'm doing. I love it. :) Since I couldn't get my x-rays done like they were planning on doing, I still had some time before Drew was out of school so I went and got a pedicure! It was a little lonely without my friends, but I was on the phone almost the whole time, so I was still way busy. :D Now I have neon red toes!!!

Drew got me some fun gifts, flowers sent to my work, and a Konditorie cake- it was perfect!

Then on Friday, after I helped run stuff over to the high school for the big auction, we went out to Gleneden Beach for the weekend. We got THE best room- EVER - Seriously, that room was absolutely fantastic. We even cracked open the sliding glass door in our bedroom at night to listen to the huge waves breaking in the storm during the nights. In the front room, there was this huge bay window that we just spent hours watching the waves roll in and out, too. I think we've both decided that a retirement house on the beach is a must.

I would have felt pretty jipped if we had been at the beach with all that rain normally, but since we could sit in a warm room and watch the ocean anyway, it didn't phase me at all.

This was this morning- the waves were HUGE, and it was high tide so the water was hitting the rocks at the bottom of the hill- there was literally no where to walk.

Sheesh, we look tired don't we? I blame daylight saving time. ;)

There was a break in the rain storms

We also had quite the fun time at the outlet stores and buying lots of cutie little pink clothes! So now we're home, doing laundry and relaxing before the busy week coming up.

Word Verification

I have some settings on my computer (I'm guessing) that make it so I can't post comments to people's blogs that have a word verification pop-up window. So don't think of it as an I hate you now, think of it more as an - I don't feel like figuring out which little setting allows me to view those. I've just had too many run ins with spyware that I upped my security settings to the extreme.

So yeah, that's my letting some of you know I haven't forgotten about you. :)

Squeal!

On Saturday, Drew and I had to run up to Portland for some errands, so we figured we would stop in at my favorite place on Earth- IKEA. I could spend allll day long there. What's interesting though, is even if we're there for 15 minutes, Drew seems to always need to nap on the way back home. It's like he is completely and utterly wasted for the rest of the day. Very entertaining. So while we were there, we decided to get the cribbery items since they are what I wanted and I could get tons of extra things for the same price as a regular bed set at some stores. I did forget to get a dust ruffle though- (which I don't think they have at IKEA, so I'll have to pick one up elsewhere). I took some pictures after we had put it together, but don't mind that little drawer underneath, I had forgotten about it and would have made it all center and cute, but I obviously didn't realize I took a picture of it. hahaha

So that's the inside of the crib soooo cute!

That rug is sooo soft, I could sleep on it!

I wasn't planning on buying new curtains, but these were so adorable, I couldn't NOT get them. And admire my beautiful treadmill hogging some photo space. ---and you got it, baby gets to hang with the treadmill, it's my only compromise til I get a gym membership.

I love, love that froggy thing to put STUFF in, and cutie Lexy is such a helper!

Favorite part? The canopy! LOVE THAT GUY!!!

So yesterday was definitely a day of nesting, even though there's nobody to put in it for a few more months, it's still nice to have for my sanity sake.

I also finally planted my starters of corn, cherry tomatoes, these yummy yellow tomatoes, cucumbers, and watermelon. I'm very excited for those, too!

THEN last night, I hung out with some friends and stuffed myself full of cake. It was delicious. I think I may have overdone it though, since I've had a cold, and wound up coughing allllll day loonnnggg today. I am wasted. I did get a few inches on the new blanket done though- yay for no energy!
