Good times

Things we've done this week.
  • Chewed incessantly on teething rings (mama see's TWO teeth RIGHT under the gums...this has been very interesting in the irritable department)
  • Read lots of books
  • Played with mommy's phone and listened to Peanut Butter Jelly Time!
  • Sang 'Hey Diddle Diddle' with singing toys
  • Screamed lots, and lots and lots
  • Learned that screeching is fun when it echo's, even though it's an outside voice in the house
  • Refused to drink anything on Sunday because she's too grown-up for that 'baby' stuff now
  • Measured things
  • Tried on new shoes
  • Spit on Daddy a lot
  • Giggled
  • Ate Oreos
  • Ate Frozen Yogurt
  • Ate teething biscuits in the car and made a horrendous mess
We've been busy!

Pumpkin Juice

Somehow I nickname everything and everyone. Ellie's current nickname changes between cakes and pumpkin juice. At any rate, she's pretty awesome and I love her!

I've been asked to put together a week long celebration next week for our classified staff (non-teachers that work at the school)- this would have been awesome if it wasn't NEXT WEEK. I have taken every spare minute (except this one for my sanity) to work on it. Here's hoping it goes OK next week. If it doesn't, oh well, it's my birthday and I'll eat cake and go chillax on the coast anyway! so there!

Done with miniature soapbox, now onto the pictures!

Watchin mama brush her teeth before school!

Bath time=the BEST time!

Sun!

We had sun today!! We've had sun the past couple of days, and we're supposed to have more this weekend. I am loving it.

Here's some fun pictures from today I just couldn't pass up.

Mommy and baby's toes match! (they did before today, but I got Drew to get a picture of the two of us while i was thinking about it). I'm also surprised at how quickly her nail polish comes off. I'm going to have to redo it like this weekend!

Looking at the birdies in the tree

I liked this one cause her little bow matched her outfit= so cute!

Quickie

I didn't realize how late it was. I went on a rampage, and now I'm back. I was going to make some sugar free nonfat strawberry yogurt too, but totally got sidetracked. Anyway, some lovely pictures of my princess!

Ellie didn't sleep, eat or drink anything at the sitters today. So then I proceeded to take her to work and she flipped at all the attention. I think the hunger and tiredness got to her. Thankfully one of the teachers rescued her and gave her a graham cracker to munch on so she could play with one of her friends for a little while.

I think I just need to remember to bring her in more often rather than playing on the internet. hahaha

Check out those little piggies! I painted them while she watched Family Feud!!

This is for appearances only. If you have a bottle and a baby, chances are, her arms go limp and she is incapable of lifting so much as her head. hahahaha Love those bottles though. Dr. Brown is the only way to go

For Micheleioni

Since *some* people need something to read, and I'm doing a virus scan, so my processor is unhappy with me using photoshop+browsing through mass amounts of scrapbook software+browsing through pictures, here is something to be read!

I don't have any new pictures cause the wee one is sleeping (as she should be!)

But this morning we did some good stuff. I got up- got to sleep in an extra hour!!- Drew dropped cakes off at the babysitter and we went to the gym. I played on some new equipment that I haven't been on before, and now my bum is sore, sore, sore. The guy there didn't know anything about the new promotion and deferred my questions to "I don't knows"...very helpful. I figure I'll call tonight when the owners are hopefully in, and I can ask them if I can get my gym membership renewed at the sweet lower monthly price than what I'm paying right now. If I can, I'll keep my membership. If I can't, then I'm going to say see ya nevers!

After the gym, and showering, we went into Salem for some breakfast at the Sassy Onion.

This is pretty much the best place for breakfast in the world. I have never eaten anywhere finer. We were going to try Word of Mouth Cafe, but they're closed on Mondays, so we went to our never failing default. :) I got some delicious french toast+bacon+eggs. Drew got a greek omelet- it has spinach, feta cheese, onions, those yummy purplish olives and tomatoes inside. That thing was delicious!!

Afterward, we went and walked around the mall- cause that's what you do when you don't have a kids with you I guess. Drew picked up a new video game. We came back into Dallas and decided to go check out the Dallas Market. We thought that we'd go there and check it out rather than going to Safeway.

Bit mistake. That place was nasty. The outside is all oldtimey and quaint, but the inside is nasty. We had taken a little basket with us to pick up a couple things, but ended up not getting anything. As we were putting the basket away as we were leaving this lady looks at us and goes, "what?! We didn't have what you wanted?" Drew and I both graciously say, "No, thank you though." ...but really, what we're really thinking is PLEASE DON'T ASK US WHAT YOU DIDNT HAVE!!! ...cause it was dirty, run down, they were charging ridiculous amounts of money for everything (worse than safeway) and it smelled funny. I won't ever go in there again. I'm honestly amazed it's still open to tell you the truth!

After that, we went and picked up sweet Elliecakes....went to safeway to pick up our fruit and veggies for the week and headed home.

So now we're home, Drew's playing games, Ellie is sleeping, and I'm playing on my computer minimally since the scan is still going. I'm pooped, my butt hurts, and life is good today. :)

Have I showed you this one? I loves it! hehehe

Pickles? Gross!

Bells has decided she likes pickles. Gross.

I don't know why I say that, because in all honesty, I like me some kosher baby dills quite a lot. It did take me several years to like them though.

Maybe it was because my brother lived off of pickles growing up- and not the good ones, but the giant too tart and nasty ones that you cut up for hamburgers kinds.

Anyway, the thought of kids eating pickles grosses me out.

I'm also attempting to let things go. I have too much to do, and not enough time to do it all. Until some legislative measures go into effect, money is tight enough that we can't save for a house very effectively. Once that happens, we'll be able to save up a substantial amount because it will lessen the amount we have to pay on Drew's student loans. So until then, I'm trying to make due with what we have.

Our situation isn't horrible, it's just not what I had envisioned. I expected to be a stay at home mom, exercising when I wanted, and being able to work in the yard. None of which has happened. I'm having to adjust to my life as I know it, and it's a difficult thing to face- so I'm trying to make the most of it. I've decided (I think..and this could change too) that I would like to hire someone to come clean up my house every so often- once a week, twice a month? I'm not sure...

I just can't do it all, and one of the things I'm willing to let go of is housework. I hate it, and it creates resentment and internal hatred. If I'm not having to sweep, mop and clean the bathroom, it should give me time for other more important things, like exercise- right?

I've come to terms with the child care and working bit. It's the after work life I can't quite figure out. blah. Soo....know of any good/trustworthy/decently priced house cleaners?

And just because, here's some pics :)

Paper- it's delicious

Naughty baby! Found Daddy's glasses! hahaha good thing those things are so flexible, or else they would have snapped when she got them off!

Pajamies

We had some pajamas left from some baby showers that I had forgotten about (we're almost all out of clothes that were given to us already!) - anyway, cakes wanted to share them with you!

OK, this isn't pj's, but I love pictures where you can see the water flying!

She looks so grown up! Nevermind the ugly bathroom- we just haven't gotten to it

Look at that little racer! LOL (this one is for you Shel!)

Look what she can do! ...that is ALL she can do, BUT she can do it! LOL

Me=Dork

Wanna know what a dork I am? I am so irritated with the juvenile nature of valentine's day cards, that I decided to make my own! I need to grab some cardstock from work to print them off on, but I'm giving these out to the kiddos, cause that's what I do! I also got them some big heart shape and lip shaped cookies to decorate as their treat! Go me!

...hahaha, I'm Mrs. Jackson...better recognize!

Sand! We have SAND!

How could you pass this up? ...we definitely couldn't...

We had a fabulous time. It was a little chilly. It was a little early. But I'm not one to complain! We got there right inbetween E's naps, so for our little family, it was *pErFeCt*

I tried to pick a couple pictures. It obviously didn't work. :) Enjoy!

First time in the sand................

What is this stuff???......

mmmm....saaaannnd.....

Mommy! I really like it!

Daddy, let me have your glasses, you forgot mine...

This stuff is GREAT!

Change of wardrobe. We had to pretend it was toasty warm, warm, warm!

I love that face!!

I remembered to get one of the two of us!

The waves were HUGE! I tried to get it on video but I don't think it does it justice.

We even saw a seal!

Wish you were here!

...and since I'm a glutton for pictures, here's some more!
