Responsibility- what's that?

Have I shown you my irresponsible parenting skills? My child is sucking on Cheetos. BUT since I'm health conscious, at least they're BAKED Cheetos. HAHAHA We talked to the doctor last week about giving her food. He was pretty insistent on us waiting til 6 months because of her tendency to be allergic to the world like her mother. So we have to hold off on more entertaining, messy pictures until then.

This week, for some reason, has been extremely trying. I am completely exhausted, and just want it to end. Thank goodness for a weekend to recoup.

So here's some pictures to fawn over, laugh at, and enjoy!

Frog eyes are apparently extremely delicious. She's taken to enjoying eating her frog on the way to and from her babysitters house. She takes his arms and swings them around like she's trying to hit someone. I find it extremely amusing. She's going to be the bully.

This was this morning on the way to work. I'm so glad I have such a happy baby!

Ellie has taken to enjoying her exersaucer more and more lately. She can even flip the pages in her little book and push the buttons to hear songs. I swear there's even a little wobble of the head to the fancy music it plays.

Oh, this was funny. I sat the princess up to take her picture and she proceeded to go from this:

To this:

And ultimately to this:

She doesn't look comfortable, but apparently the feet HAD to be grabbed. I guess it was imperative, and of the utmost importance!

Man, I love having my own personal entertainment!

Show N Tell

Since I like to brag and feel good about myself, I now introduce you to

*my*
*brand* *spankin* *new* *car*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, I didn't win it off of the Price is Right, but it sure feels like it! Sad to say, but this is the first car that has actually been *mine* rather than a loner, or sharing with Drew. AND for the icing on the cake- I got to choose the type, AND color! teeheehee -it's a 2010 (had 8 miles on it when I got in!) Toyota Rav4 w/a v6 engine+4wheel drive and all that other neato stuff that I can't remember!

What I like most about it? I can go speedy fast, AND it's big at the same time. It's like driving a sports car box- it's amazing!

And for those that only come for the pictures (I know that's all I look at on other's blogs---if it's all words, I don't read it- sorry. lol) - here's the wee one that hasn't had an afternoon nap in 1.5 weeks. Poor thing. I'm glad she sleeps with here eyes covered, cause that camera flash would have woken her up otherwise!

Comparisons

For comparison sakes, here's monthly pictures of our little girl and how she's grown. The first one (technically at birth) is when she's 3 1/2 days old, and not by Blaire, so please forgive. But the rest are taken when she is 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, and 4 months.

Ellie at 4 days old- she still had her umbilical cord even! <3

Ellie at 1 month old!

Ellie at 2 months old

Ellie at 3 months old

My monster at 4 months old! LOL

She's 1/3 of a year old!

So she wasn't as big as I thought!

Hi There!

I figured Ellie was in the fat, fat, fat percentile, but when we took her in for her 4-month check-up. This is what they had to say:

Height: She's 25.25" tall (not long people) lol which is the 73rd percentile- shocking, I know!
Weight: 16lbs 3oz- 88th percentile- I thought it'd be higher?
Head: 41 Centimeters- which surprisingly, is only the 39th percentile. And here I thought she had a bulbous head!

She got her booster shots and didn't even cry on the first one. The second one takes a little longer to inject, so she cried, but was easily calmed, which I'm thankful for! She didn't even seem to need Tylenol that night for the pain! - she was happy as can be, cooing up a storm, and wiggling like a fishy at bath time!

Daddy and baby's favorite pastime- watching football

Look how I like to stand up!

Good thing daddy's phone is in an otter box! That way I can slobber all over it, and it's OK!

Me Chinese!

Pumpkin Patch and other goodies

I wanted to wait until we had carved our pumpkins before posting these pictures, but I don't think we're going to be able to get to carving them until this weekend. I thought pictures would be enjoyed, so here they are!

Almost about to tip over!

She's learned to arch her back and she can get places!

She found her toes! Now her chubby legs just need to get longer so she can get those toes in her mouth more often

It's hard to get 3 people in a picture!

The Halloween costume! Bunny with her bunny!

For the record - 4J6127C8TXL

I just wanted to put it out there that my beautiful black 60gb ipod got stolen out of my classroom over the weekend. Yes, I locked my door, yes I think I know who did it, but since I can't do much about it other than alert the police and let them take over, I wanted to at least get my serial number searchable in case anyone comes upon it in the next while. 4J6127C8TXL is on the back of it. I can also tell you what songs/movies should be on there assuming no one has wiped it clean. If anyone knows anything about it, please let me know!!!

As per request!

This has been a week of firsts:

OK, the thumb thing isn't new, I just thought she looked possessed, so I thought I'd post it :)

On Monday, after school, look what our little one showed us she could do on her very own! --not for a long time, but long enough to get some pictures out of it!!!

THEN, she did it again on Tuesday- it wasn't a fluke! She's still a bit tipsy, but pretty good nonetheless!

Drew also thought it'd be a great idea to give her a banana in her meshy bags- she dissolved that thing til it was gone. Then when she realized we took it away, she screamed. hahahaha We then decided since she has been so interested at grabbing at our plates at dinner, and we can't keep her full enough, that we'd start her on some cereal. She seems to like it well enough, and half of it ends up on her- so we only give her some right before bath time! She's growing up too fast! ---and don't worry mom, I have a video to upload, I just haven't had a chance to yet.

These aren't firsties either, but they're sure cute!

O RLY face, again! Awesome!

Turkey bum!!

Oh the concentration!!

Halloween

I had tried to brush off Halloween as a not a big deal, but the more I say it, the more I push myself the other way into thinking that Halloween needs to be a HUGE deal! So I've talked to Drew and I think we've finally narrowed down what we'd like Elisabeth to be for Halloween.

I cannot believe the amount of costumes to choose from! We decided to stay away from the princess themes since she is going to have an opinion other than mine some day, and I'd like for her to not have to repeat costumes if possible. :) So, we're going to go with cute and cuddly instead! ...I know what you're thinking...just put her in her penguin pajamas- right?!?! hehehe oh it'll get BETTER!

AND speaking of costumes, this past weekend, I got this hair up you know where to find her a turkey outfit for THANKSGIVING! That very same day, I found the perfect one on ebay, bid on it, and won by Monday! I am super excited to dress her up for Thanksgiving, you have no idea! So until I have pictures of my awesome turkey baby, here's some to captivate you for the time being.

Just loungin around in the kitchen!

Whaaaaa was that?

Mommy made a funny!

DELICIOUS!

Oh, and p.s., Drew got admitted as an attorney today- it was pretty awesome for him- Elisabeth cried cause she realized she wasn't the center of attention, so we spent most of the time out with the other babies in the entrance. I also forgot the camera, so the only pictures I have are dark and blurry from my iphone. Sorry!! Once again, your girls are still proud of you though!

Creepy

Last night, we went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner with Ryan before we dropped him off at the airport. (He's moving to New York to be closer to his wife that lives in Toronto until the visa's go through). Anyway, back to me: ;) --We were sitting in what I decided was the kid section. They seated us around all these other families with young children. I didn't mind one bit since we we too, had a child. I actually was quite happy they had some place like that. I didn't feel completely awful when Ellie started crying cause she was exhausted+bored.

Near the end of dinner, a couple showed up, and up until that point, Elisabeth had been the youngest one there. The couple that came in had a week old little boy. It was like a train wreck to me- I couldn't stop staring. He was TEENY! Drew proceeded to insist that our baby was once that small. I couldn't see it. I said to him, "No, she hasn't grown at all, she's just learned how to smile and has gotten stronger!" - we both laughed.

But the strangest thing happened. I actually LONGED to have a wee little baby like that again! I am a bit freaked out by even saying it! It's like I can't figure out where my teeny little girl went, and now I have this giant princess. AND she's just going to get bigger!

So, even though I'm a little freaked out to say it, I suppose that as long as it's in our cards, I suppose we're going to have to have another baby some time just so I can cuddle a teeny little one again :)

my baby went from this little thing to this:

So Proud!

Yesterday afternoon, I went to check on baby girl and I found this:

I squealed in delight!!1

Here's some other pictures cause I haven't posted enough of them ;)

She likes to lick spoons!
*PEW PEW PEW* eyes!

She's very rude and doesn't know how to close her mouth, but she wanted to show you one of her halloweeny outfits! She has to wear it on Saturday for the Dragon Run, cause it's her only orange clothes :D ---did you guys hear that?! She's going to wear something TWICE!!...heaven forbid...I know...I'm a little embarassed. hahahaha
